Savor

Savor A Supernatural story by Celina  @redbanshee Our latest entry in the #SPNWishList fic and art challenge! Celina responded to the prompt: "Someone has a birthday." In my opinion, Celina absolutely nails every characterization... Cas fairly leaps off the page. I was so excited to share it. Enjoy! -- Jennie Sam tucks the last of the Christmas decorations into the box unironically marked “Christmas Crap” in Dean’s neat script.  It’s the mistletoe Dean had hung in the kitchen doorway, trying to trick Sam into kissing Eileen (or the other way around) -- unsuccessfully, to Dean’s chagrin (and, Sam realizes with a pang, to his own). Folding the box flaps over and tucking the last flap under the first, Sam lifts the box with a grunt and carries it to the storeroom. Kneeling, he slides the box back into its place on the shelves. His eyes drift to the box next to it, apparently unmarked. Curiosity prompts him to pull the box out; he finds his own handwrit...

Don't You Cry No More

Don't You Cry No More A Supernatural story by Jennie  @DeanIsntFine The story that started with a (very) random tweet. Thank you, Season 15 Script Bot . Dedicated to Melissa , who never lets us forget that Dean Winchester matters. Here's one imagined ending to his epic journey. -- Jennie DEAN comes over, he hands DEAN a number of toy soldiers on a bed. — SEASON 15 SCRIPT (@spn_bot) November 25, 2019 The peace talks were progressing around the bunker's map table. Dean, sidelined like a weary general after a long and brutal campaign, watched the proceedings from a darkened corner of the war room. Chuck and Jack faced off across a chess board, while the negotiations' true players huddled at the far end of the table. Amara. Rowena. Cas. And Billie, who it turned out had always held all the cards. The uneasy truce was holding, and crucial details were being hammered out. Chuck and Jack, adversaries for now on the checkered field of the game board, eyed ...

Distress Call

Distress Call A Supernatural story by Jennie @DeanIsntFine This is the conclusion to my #Saileen story "Safe Harbor." It is a #Saileen, Sam-centered retelling of 12.21 "There's Something About Mary." PROLOGUE Gun in hand, Eileen fled through the silent woods. She could feel the vibrations of the hellhound's heavy footfalls closing in. She turned and fired, but her shots had no effect. As she felt the beast's jaws clamp down, smelled its fetid breath, she cried out. Her last thoughts were of Sam. CHAPTER 1 Sam kept watch while Dean jimmied the lock on their mom’s motel room. Dean opened the door, then strode quickly in, calling out for her. Sam stayed by the entrance, studying the room’s contents -- or lack thereof. He didn’t see any sign that their mom was still using the room. Dean came out of the bathroom after checking the tub. “Well, looks like she hasn't been here for a while.” “Yeah,” Sam said. “All her stuff ...

Safe Harbor

Safe Harbor A Supernatural story by Jennie @DeanIsntFine GIFs by Starsmish on Tumblr. “It was a mistake,” Sam said and signed, as Eileen broke down, cracks showing in her armor. She melted into his arms, and he rested his chin atop her head, his hand in her hair. He felt handcuffed, helpless. He didn’t know what he could do, or say, to ease her pain. A mistake. One of hundreds that could happen to any hunter, not to mention any of the very real hazards of the job. Teeth. Claws. Blades. Bullets. Dagon had vanished just as Eileen had taken her shot with the Colt, and the round had slammed into Renny instead. “He wasn’t a monster,” Eileen had said. Sam guessed the jury was still out on that one. Mick had been ready to summarily execute Eileen for her mistake. Luckily, Sam and Dean were there to stop him. And Mick seemed to be having a crisis of conscience. Who knew where that would lead? For now, Sam stilled his thoughts and simply held her. That was something...
