Maybe Dreams Come True

Maybe Dreams Come True A Supernatural story by Mich  @raiahome You've read Mich's  Tales from Baby ... now she's branching out! Always nice to have another talented friend dishing out the painnnnn. Enjoy.  -- Jennie John woke up in the hospital, banged up and bandaged, and listened to his youngest son give him the rundown of what the doctors had said about Dean.  He saw the fear in Sam’s eyes, the same fear that filled his own heart, but he also saw the determination. The absolute loyalty and love the boy had for his brother. He saw a strength there he had never recognized before.  For the first time in a long time, he actually looked at Sam and, instead of seeing a boy with demon blood in him, a boy that could be a danger to Dean and the whole world, he saw his son. He saw the nervous energy driving Sam to pace as he tried to reassure his father and himself that everything would be all right, that Dean would be all right. John saw Sam’s eyes dart around as his ...

Teddy's Story

Teddy's Story A Supernatural story by Carla  @curlybean1 A new entry in the second wave of the #SPNWishList fic and art challenge! Please welcome Carla, a new author, responding to the prompt: "A fic from the POV of the cashier in the store near the bunker, Teddy, with psoriasis." This story does exactly what I want fan fiction to do: It tells a rich, deep story from the beautiful universe that SPN has created for us, but has given us only the barest glimpse of. I loved it so much and couldn't wait to bring it to you!  -- Jennie The first time Teddy saw them walk into the Kwik Trip, he hated them.  From the way they dressed, to the car they drove, to the way they walked -- as if they weren’t afraid of anything and didn’t care what anyone else thought of them -- he hated them. Especially the shorter one. His first interaction with the man -- whom he later learned was named Dean -- made him feel like he was back in high school. The man sauntered in...

Not So Grand Theft Auto

Not So Grand Theft Auto A Supernatural story by Mich  @raiahome You've read Mich's Tales from Baby ... now check out this #SPNWishList masterpiece! Mich responded to the prompt: "Baby's POV when the kids stole her in 'Lebanon.'"  Of course, I had but one author in mind... No one speaks for that cranky old steel broad like Mich does. Enjoy. -- Jennie TEENAGERS! Am I right? I mean, give me a break. It was bad enough when I had to deal with Dean and Sam when they went through it, but at least they knew what was what! But this kid? Puuuure ignorance. Just listen to this… There I was, parked outside the local movie theater in the middle of town, a back seat full of cursed objects, creepy dolls and lethal teddy bears. Just another day in the life, right? The boys head into the liquor store across the street for “emergency supplies,” if you know what I mean. The next thing I know, some crazy little blond twinkie is jumping behind my wheel and...

Nourished

Nourished A Supernatural story by Jennie  @DeanIsntFine Featuring Dean Winchester  @DWImpala67 This is the fourth of my VBF stories, featuring my best fictional friend. It is set in the summer hiatus, after Season 14's "Moriah." To read the others, click: Part 1:  "VBF" Part 2:  "Welcome to Rocky's" Part 3:  "Last Call" Dean Winchester made me a sandwich. I take the barest moment to process that as the china plate clangs on the map table, where I’m sitting, poring over yet another ancient text on the nature of God. “Here you go,” he booms. “Your favorite. Roast beef, rare. Extra mayo, tomatoes, and just a suggestion of salt. Piled high on… what the hell is ‘Seed-uction’ bread, anyway?” I grab the rim of the plate, rotating it left and right to closely inspect his creation. “More importantly,” I say, “where the hell did you even find it in Lebanon, Kansas?” He shrugs and sits down, rubbing absently at his jaw an...

Thinky Thoughts: Dean's Wonderful Life

Image
What does your heart desire? Dean and his heart, Dean and his desire... these have been thorny issues in the past, and fodder for much drama. The guilt in his heart he felt over killing Sam's friend Amy Pond almost exposed him -- and almost killed him -- in "Defending Your Life." Amara manifested as his heart's desire in "Love Hurts," exposing truths that were painful to him, but more than understandable to Sam. A siren came to Dean not in the guise of a beautiful woman, but as a trusted brother in "Sex and Violence." Even as far back as "What Is And What Shall Never Be," Dean couldn't dream up a world where he could shed his burdens and be happy with his life. The old Dean kept his truth tightly under wraps, hidden at times even from himself. These days, though, our Dean is more open, more forgiving of himself... and we've never seen that like we see it in "Lebanon" -- the 300th episode of Supernatural. ...
